Wine Rack cabinet built in & around a range hood - Fairlight

This Northern Beaches job actually entailed modifying the on floor cabinets to make room for the new stove and through removing one and a half wall mounted cabinets to make room for the range-hood.  Once the stove and the range-hood were in place, the gap was filled in by custom making a painted façade with wine racks built in.  Then some additional tiling was done to fill in the missing splash back.

Living Room built-in wall units and bracket-less shelves - Mona Vale

The wall units were custom made to match the kitchen cabinets at the other end of this open plan room and matching bracket-less shelves were built for both the living room and the kitchen of this Northern Beaches 2 storey cottage.  The cabinets used glass fronts so the infra-red remote controls would operate through them. The plaster bulkhead in the middle was built to house the modern gas heater, the television and the surround sound speakers were built in for the fully integrated look.

Build Outdoor Barbecue Table - Erskineville

A regular client had looked unsuccessfully for a table of unusual dimensions for the courtyard of their terrace house, so that the weekly family dinner could be outside on warm evenings. They asked Handy Work to make a long thin table 2.5m long by 70cm wide.  Merbau hardwood was selected and Handy Work sourced the timbers and manufactured it in their workshop then delivered it.

Modify & Install Modern Chinese Oak Wall Unit - Whale Beach

A Northern Beaches resident purchased a wall unit and matching desktop from a high end eastern suburbs retailer. They were both made from Chinese Oak recycled from warehouse beams in Beijing.  Handy Work was commissioned to modify and install the wall unit and desktop in the water-front Whale Beach residence.

Hinged door for ping pong table

A special door was cut from a Chinese Elm strip and hung to hide a ping pong table hidden behind it.  Because of the height, a stabilisation strap was added to the top of the unit and it was tied back to structural stud work in two locations.

The client needed to put networking routers and entertainment equipment in the lower cupboards but they required plenty of ventilation and cable entry points.  Handy Work cut holes appropriate to the quality of the cabinet.

Handy Work cut the oversized Chinese Elm bench-top to fit perfectly between existing walls then mounted brackets into structural stud-work in several locations to create a classy desk area overlooking the famous surfing "Wedge" at Whale Beach.
