New Concrete Floor in Garbage Area - Brookvale

The existing concrete in a garbage area for a Strata on the Northern Beaches had been badly laid so that there were puddles of water a couple of inches deep when it rained.  Owners were sick of getting soaked shoes and wet socks for several days after rain.  Handy Work was engaged to take out the concrete coves around the edge put down new reinforcing on top of the old concrete, jack hammer out the ramps at each door and relay concrete without any puddled areas.

Wheel Chair Ramp - Narraweena

A couple in their 90's were still living at home but were now using walkers and allowance needed to be made for the possibility of wheel chairs.  Handy Work cleared the garden, made appropriate formwork and concreted a ramp which meets the disability access standards.

Formwork and filling in place

A double layer of formwork was required as filling sand was required and piering was required to the concrete below for structural support.  Reinforcing was subsequently added and then it was concreted using a concrete pump to get it in place.

New Concrete Drive - Manly

The Northern Beaches owners bought a house that was ideal in many ways but the drive was a nightmare.  Handy Work was engaged to project manage the drive installation.  In this case Handy Work brought in a specialist driveway concreter and worked with them to deliver the project cost effectively and ahead of schedule.
