A very common carpentry job I am asked to do is to replace rotted enclosures around plumbing and equipment.  Commonly they are at the side of buildings, in strata parking areas, on or in the walls or in gardens.  All these area are damp from time to time or regularly wet by the weather.  Therefore just replacing the enclosure with the same wooden paneling will just require another replacement a little later when the new stuff deteriorates.

Handy Work instead typically replaces rotted enclosures with a specialty paneling made of aerated plastic, which will not rot or deteriorate but can be painted to fit in with the environment.

Enclosures have been made for all sorts of things including:

  • Plumbing

  • Swimming Pool equipment

  • Cushions for garden and deck furniture

  • Fire Hose Reals

  • Pumps

  • Sporting equipment

Handy Work is multi-skilled in virtually all areas of property, building & carpentry improvements.

Fire Hose Real and Extinguisher Cupboard in Strata - Neutral Bay

This 8 storey Strata Building had 2 sets of cupboards set into external walls which had deteriorated and needed replacing.  Handy Work made up two types of cupboards for them and they will decide which style to use on the other 6 floors later.

The old timber plywood enclosure had fallen apart so Handy Work made up new ones out of a specialty plastic panel so they will never need to replace it again.
