NORTHERN BEACHES of Sydney & part of North Shore

Over the years Bruce has repaired or laid many paved and tiled areas.  It can be as simple as cutting out cracked tiles in bathrooms or on floors, to paving entertaining areas or applying a splash back tile when a new vanity or laundry tub is installed.

A common issue is paving areas that have partially subsided, requiring the pavers to be lifted, more sand or fill being applied meticulously to level the area and relaying the pavers afterwards and applying jointing sand to protect against splintered edges.

More recently Bruce and his team pulled up a strip drain in a Strata driveway which had a paved top.  This meant re-cutting pavers to fit.  A big job but they got it done in one day so the residents could quickly use the drive and garage again.

Brick Steps with Granite Paving Cemented - Balgowlah

There was a gate at the side of the house onto the street from the entertaining area but for years the owner had used loose blocks, bricks and rubble to get down from the higher area.  Handy Work built a brick step structure and cemented granite pavers, which matched those used on the entertaining area

Paving Under Garden Shed - Manly

Where concrete under sheds is the gold plated method, putting good quality paving down before the shed can work well when it is primarily for storage of damp resistant items like lawn mowers and garden tools.  Here a retaining wall was modified, the area leveled, pavers laid and a mortar edge restraint was fashioned, then the shed was laid on the now sturdy paver base.

Tiled Splash Back Filled In during kitchen renovation - Fairlight

During a kitchen renovation Handy Work did, cabinets were removed for the new stove and once the range hood was installed the heritage tiled splash back needed more tiles added to fill in the gaps
