You may have either a privacy issue or an ugly area you want to hide where screening can make an enormous difference.  Timber screening can come in many forms from contemporary painted wooden slat screens and screens made from hardwood slats through to decorative panels or lattice.  It is all a matter of your architectural preferences and budget.

Garden Screening - Ingleside

The owners realised that this well presented property was visually marred by a number of air conditioners and a hot water heater standing out in the front yard and commissioned a landscaper to plant out the area.  He advised that plants would take too long to do the trick so he engaged Handy Work to build hardwood screening incorporating gates and access openings so the equipment could be maintained.

Privacy Screening for BBQ Area - Narraweena

The barbecue area was ideally placed outside the kitchen and dining area at the side of the house but because it was a corner block it was also a street frontage and therefore they always felt the neighbours across the street were peering in from their two storey house.  Handy Work sourced LOSP H3 Primed Treated Pine screening from a Northern Beaches supplier and had it up quickly, incorporating additional mid supports to keep the thin materials straight and in line.  The client painted the slats to save money.
